Fraud Risk Management Courses & Workshops

J.K.Galbraith observed in his classic text on the 1929 Wall Street crash, The Great Crash, that fraud rises when people are prosperous This is evidently true, but the problem is that these frauds are often not exposed until the bubble bursts and events like the Great Crash and the current recession happen. If fraud is happening why don't companies recognise it and do something about preventing it?

Unfortunately, many corporate executives prefer not to acknowledge the possibility of fraud occurring in their business because they feel it may reflect on their competence in running the company. This is not so. Such is the nature of fraud that even the most experienced and competent chief executive can't be expected to avoid it. After all if can happen right under the noses of the Metropolitan Police  what chance do you stand? Actually, a very good chance. Here's why.

Like all things in business it is about minimizing risk. Managing the risk of fraud is no different, but until recently it is not one that has not been practically taught in business school. Increasingly corporate organisations are implementing Fraud Risk Management Programs as part of their Governance and Ethics strategy. Attending this course on the Principles of Fraud Risk Management will give you an insight as to what such a program involves. You will identify how it fits in with your own corporate strategy and allow you to make informed decisions on implementing it within your organisation.

The Principles of Fraud Risk Management course has been developed from best practices as identified by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Institute of Internal Auditors and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants . It is something we recommend you and your board give very serious consideration to, especially if your business is going through any form of change, restructuring, merger or acquisition, simply looking to a future and controlling the risk.

This course is primarily aimed at Chief Executive Officers and Chief Finance Officers. It is equally applicable to professionals in Auditing, Internal Auditing, Accountancy, the Legal Profession, Risk Management, and for Fraud Examiners and Investigators who may be responsible implementing for or involved in the Fraud Risk management process.
